Damokos-Cseh Mansion Cernat

It was rebuilt of wood, laid on the thick stone basis of the old mansion, by Damokos János and his wife Bartha Mária, probably after the heavy earthquake in 1802 and later in 1830. The former mansion, dating back to 1838, was probably built in the 17. century or at the beginning of the 18. century. This is proven by the late rennaissance, artistically carved stone fractions of the window and the door arch, inserted - as useful building material - into the cellar windows and its frameworks in 1838. The actual look of the mansion carries the uniform characteristics of the classical style. The protruding porch includes a semicircular gable with sun-ray decoration, built on four stodgy columns.
